On Sunday December 04, 2011, the Agat Christmas Lights were officially lit to welcome the
Christmas Season thanks to the Agat Community of volunteers from the Mayors Office and
residents worked tireless to make the lighting display a success.

Santa Claus and his helpers were also present to wave and spread good cheer to all present.

Mayor Carol Tayama thanked the residents in attendance and all the volunteers who help make
the lights possible. Once darkness set in, the Christmas Lights were officially turned on for the
first time this season and light refreshments were served.

The Christmas lights display provide a message of good cheer and tidings to all who pass by
the lights. The light displays is a reminder of the reason for the season. To all Christians,
it signifies the purpose we celebrate Christmas and the lighted Belen display or nativity scene
of Jesus birth.

Entertainment was provided by the Oceanview Middle School Choir led by their
instructor/conductor Rainier Tanalgo.
